The Catalan economy has seen 19 quarters of continuous growth (to Q3 2018) and remains the dynamo of Southern Europe for innovation, job creation and investment. One of the keys to success is its diversity, with thriving sectors from automotive to biotech and from education to tourism (3 business schools are in the global top 50 while Barcelona is the 3rd most visited city in Europe with 8.69m visitors).
